Since 2009 Jens Reineke is our chef de cuisine and leads a team of 17 cooks in our Hotel Der Waldkater and our Bistro Der Stadtkater.

Before he came to us he worked in the Congress Center in Hannover and organized events for some thousand people. In contrast to this he is lucky now to be back at the cooker himself. To use fresh high-class ingredients for the most possible diversity – that’s what he likes so much at his profession.

In the Brewery lounge he offers classic and regional meals, mostly fitting the home-made beer. In the Waldkater Restaurant he wants to serve first-class kitchen with some Asian touch, setting course of uncommon enjoyments for your palate.

In the 90th he worked in some first-class star-restaurants: in Romantik Hotel Waldhorn in Ravensburg with Albert Bouley and in Sterns Restaurant in Hannover, both awarded by Gault Millaut.

Jens Reineke lives with his wife and two children near Hannover. It seems that his son inherited his passion. Seven years old now, he is sure about his later profession: he wants to be cook!
